Sure I have a gamer friend in the city over that I try to meet with once a week, but hes off to a wedding this week in the US.
So how do I entertain myself, you ask?
---
- RPGs: I am running a Star Wars game with ONE gamer friend. It is constructed in such a way that it revolves around his character, and the crew (NPCs) of the ship that he is on. Basically, if we find someone who wants to play with us, they can either make a character to board the ship, or they can take one of the set characters as a temp.
Role-playing one player one GM is intimate but kinda rewarding in other ways. We did talk to some other gamers, but no one is biting. Either they are busy with family stuff, or they are in another game and dont want to invest time they dont have into another game.
BTW: The character in my little short story on this page [link] is the same captain in my game. She owns the decommissioned Republic Cruiser [link] EnigmaWing, painted purple of course. A cookie to those of you who get this little joke.
- D&D 4.0 also enters my brain, since I ran a successful D&D Scarred Lands 3.5 campaign a while ago, but moved away from my players. 4.0 has galvanized me into trying to start up the same D&D setting again, but on the other side of the continent of Gelspad with new PCs and players
But that will have to wait until I make the move to Edmonton I think.

I am going to write up some of my setting up here. Those of you with a RPG itch can have a look or contribute. Either to fill out the roster, or art for those who are inclined to do so. Hint, what do you get when you cross a whorehouse, the Goddess of Sex and Secrets, and a female adventurers guild? ^.^
Hah I started! [link]

- Board games: My other itch. I tend to go to [link] and chat with others, and I do arrange a board game night twice a month at the library, but AGAIN, small town woes. I dont get to play that often.
But Crow, my wife, WILL play SOME of the games that I have. My collection is a combination of what Crow calls guy games and stuff that she will try. [link] (Notice my zombie/horror fetish?)
Still, this something that I can grind against, but I will have to wait till Im in a center with a larger geek population.

Video-Games: Ah!!!... This is the place where a gamer in a small center can salve himself. Im a 3 console household after all (360, PS2 and Wii.). And a game just has to be good, not new. Psychonauts [link] is what Im in the middle of now. WONDERFUL game GO PLAY IT!!!. Its not often that you can get an old jaded gamer like me to yell WTF happily and repeatedly at TV screen!!!
---
Well, back to writing. But I will share what I write with whomever stumbles across this page at least.

Thank you very much for the fav!!!

And SW RPG, you saaaaaay...?
I just recently got into that, and it would be cool to play in a campaign where I'm not the GM just to get a feel for how everything works...
